Scouts from various groups within Kibaha District recently took part in a community environmental clean-up exercise organized as part of the Tanzania Scouts Association’s commitment to community development and environmental conservation. The activity brought together scouts, leaders, and volunteers who worked collectively to remove waste from public spaces and improve the cleanliness of surrounding areas.

The clean-up campaign focused on key community locations including public roads, school surroundings, and local gathering areas. During the activity, scouts collected plastic waste, cleared drainage pathways, and educated local residents on the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The initiative also emphasized the Scout values of responsibility, service, and leadership.

District Scout leaders highlighted that such activities help young scouts develop discipline, teamwork, and a sense of civic duty. By engaging directly with the community, scouts are able to apply the principles of scouting in real-world situations while contributing positively to society.

Community members expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the scouts and encouraged the continuation of similar programs in the future. Environmental conservation remains one of the key priorities for the Kibaha District Scouts, and additional community service activities are expected to be organized throughout the year.
